The HSBC Work Experience programme has been designed to provide students with exposure to the banking sector. At HSBC we are offering students a variety of placements across our different business areas. For the locations on this advert we are offering:
- Retail Banking & Wealth Management
Placed in one of our local branches, you will be able to gain oversight of a range of services that we provide for our customers: loans, mortgages, investments, credit cards and more. Throughout your placement, you will be able to learn about how our colleagues deal with customer relationship management and the way in which we value getting it right the first time.
- Commercial - Mid-Market Enterprises (MME)
Working within Commercial Banking dealing with domestic and international customers in the turnover bracket £6.5m to £350m via relationship management and supporting UK Business Services
The recruitment process will include completing an online application with eligibility questions, a short online assessment and final stage telephone interview. We will then advise all applicants in March 2018 on the outcome.
The work experience placements are one week in duration in your assigned location and will commence on the 4 June 2018 and run weekly over the summer until 17 August 2018.
We recruit on a rolling basis, meaning that the telephone interviews will start when the first applications are submitted.

Where are the placement locations?
If successful with your application, you agree to be assigned a placement within your region. During the recruitment process you will be asked to give your three preferences, which we will do our best to provide in order to ensure the journey time is reasonable.
