Would you like to join an elite team controlling offensive, defensive and combat support aircraft? As an RAF Aerospace Systems Operator you’ll manage some of the world’s most sophisticated technology. Working with cutting-edge of computer information systems to search the skies for potential threats.

Throughout your training you will gain a Level 2 Diploma as an IT Application Specialist. This will accompany the world-class training you will receive and allow you to progress to work as part of a close-knit team performing in vital roles both in the UK and overseas. You can be placed on standby to go anywhere in the world to support aircrew and ground forces. Whilst working on the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System, you’ll have the opportunity to watch for missile launches around the world, track objects in space and provide support to the United States Space Network.

If you have the aptitude and complete the required training, you will have the opportunity to apply to become an Air Operations (Control) Sergeant.


Requirements

Be aged 16-47

GCSE- Maths & English Language (grade C or above(Or equivelant))

UK citizen or dual/UK holder

Health requirements: BMI and Eye sight checks

Fitness requirements: 2.4Km run, Multi-stage fitness test, Press-up & Sit-ups

 

Salary

During training = £15K+ (plus benefits)

Upon completion of specialist training = £19K+ (plus benefits)

 

Location

UK locations + potential travel overseas
