This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take on the role of an admin assistant to work in a Mortgage Solutions office. Duties include aiding with appointments, telephone work, dealing with mail, word processing, using e-mail & electronic appointments, updating databases & recording information.

Working week

Mon-Fri, 9.00 - 17.00, ½ hour lunch

Total hours per week: 37.50

You will work as an Admin Assistant reporting to the Office Manager in the provision of general administrative and secretarial support services. You must be aware of and maintain confidentiality at all times and ensuring that duties are carried out to the required standard:

  • You will be required to aide and set up face to face appointments and to provide a welcoming point of contact to deal with enquiries from clients 
  • Receive incoming calls and maintain recording system
  • Open and distribute incoming mail and record and process outgoing mail and to receive, check and sign for delivery of goods
  • Efficient use of pc skills and use of Microsoft Office package to include, word processing, spreadsheets, publications and PowerPoint presentations
  • Email system will be used for sending and retrieving messages and appointments as well as maintaining diary systems
  • Accurately recording information and data into bespoke databases and using document management system to input, access and retrieve information
  • Attendance of team meetings and team development and training days as required and to provide other general administrative support in specific areas of work as designated by the Office Manager

  • Computer literate with good keyboard skills and knowledge of MS Office including word processing, spreadsheets, publications and powerpoint.
  • Well organised and capable of maintaining efficient systems
  • Able to manage own work effectively
  • Enthusiastic approach to the use of IT and willingness to undertake training in order to ensure the competency level required for this role

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE Grade A-C in English and Maths or equivalent
