Apprentice Associate Draughtsperson (Radio Structures Draughtsperson) Level 3

If you enjoy being busy, having the significant technical expertise and computer aided design skills to deal with a wide variety of design situations, you’ll be ideally suited to this role. Apprentice Associate Draugtspeople work on the structural design and technical drawing of our Radio Tower sites. It’s a vital role as the work you’ll be carrying out is critical to the entire network.

We’ll teach you the skills and knowledge you need to work safely on towers in addition to the specific detailed technical skills required to complete technical draughting and design. Once you’ve completed your training, you’ll join a team responsible for the management of our radio tower designs across the UK.


Training & support

Throughout the course of your apprenticeship you’ll gain a wealth of invaluable experience and technical qualifications. You’ll also be taught job specific skills such as computer aided design, health and safety standards and environmental and regulatory requirements. You’ll also learn a range of engineering theories and principles.

Entry requirements

To join our Apprentice Associate Draughtsperson (Engineering design and Draughtsperson) Level 3 programme you’ll need to achieve a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 4–9 (GCSE C or above) including English Language and Maths, or equivalent qualifications. However, your Maths GCSE must be at grade 6 (B or above). You’ll also need a full driving license with no more than six points.
