Apprentice CSR Administrator with DWF Law

As our CSR Apprentice, you will work alongside a friendly, professional and efficient team whilst learning a wide range of admin duties supporting the delivery and tracking of both community investment and diversity & inclusion activity across our business.

Role Description

At DWF, our community investment, through volunteering and fundraising, is targeted at making a positive impact on the communities we operate in. Our employees raise funds to enable the DWF Foundation to provide grants to charities whose work impacts people in locations where we have a presence. This also offers the Foundation and the charities it supports, access to skills based volunteering. Employee volunteering, where our staff donate time and skills during work hours to tackle local social issues, is an effective and powerful way for us to invest in our people and our local communities.

Relationships:

 

  1. Responsible to: DWF Foundation & Community Investment Manager
  2. Liaison with: Director of CSR and Engagement, HRBP's, HRA's People Investment

Your main duties include:

 

  • Helping to co-ordinate and support the delivery of activity that encourages our people to volunteer in their community and engage in our diversity and inclusion agenda
  • To help support and monitor the locations in their fundraising efforts in support of the DWF Charitable Foundation
  • Assisting the team in preparing and distributing communications on CSR and diversity activities.
  • Assist in the planning and co-ordination of internal network meetings and resources needed to support those networks.
  • Processing our Charitable Foundation Grant Applications for consideration by the DWF Foundation Trustees
  • Supporting the delivery of our 5 STAR Futures education & employability programme (on line and face to face)
  • Helping maintain existing links with local schools/community groups and work with the CSR team to develop community and/or diversity related activities
  • Responding to queries from charities and community organisations as well as colleagues within our business

The successful applicant will be:

 

  • Organised, motivated and demonstrate a professional approach to work
  • Computer literate with good IT and keyboard skills and a sound knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Able to work, communicate and engage with a diverse range of people in a positive and respectful way
  • Able to multi-task, work to agreed deadlines and care about the quality of their work
  • Comfortable being part of a small team that works flexibly
  • Dependable, willing to learn, listen and get involved!

    All these skills will also be developed further as part of the apprenticeship programme

Qualifications Required:

A minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent at grade C/4 or above including Maths and English.

Expecting / obtained a minimum of 3 A Levels or equivalent at grade C or above
