About the role: 

Working closely with the people who are managing project delivery for our business. You will have the opportunity to work on live projects/contracts and to learn from a host of experienced and talented managers. Balfour Beatty deliver projects of differing size and scope throughout the UK and you will play a key role in ensuring the team utilise appropriate project controls techniques to support the management team in monitoring project performance.

What the apprenticeship will offer: 

You will study for and be expected to pass Advanced (level 3) Apprenticeship Engineering Project Control within 3 years.

Your responsibilities as a Project Controls Apprentice include:

Embedding project controls techniques into the delivery strategy of the project

Earned Value Management analysis, monitoring and reporting

Project cost engineering/cost analysis

Estimating

Programme controls Compliance/Governance and management

Developing effective working relationships with members of the project management team

Compiling, analysing and challenging performance data

  • Live the Balfour Beatty Values and Behaviours
  • Participate in Apprentice development programme and work toward professional status.

Who we’re looking for:

The following qualities/experience are essential:

  • 5 GCSE including Maths and English (GCSEs at grades C or above or grade 4 or above).

The following qualities/experience are desirable:

  • Work experience or Part time employment

Working as a valued member of our Major Projects team
