New Horizons are currently recruiting for a leading recruitment specialist for locum doctors, nurses, social care workers and healthcare professionals. They believe in digging deep to go the extra mile, to ensure that your locum position ticks all of your boxes – no matter whereabouts in the UK you are based, or what sector of medicine you specialise in.

Now they are looking for an IT Apprentice to join their team and support staff. Main duties will be to assist the IT Manager with maintaining the smooth running for all aspects of the network and dealing with issues, as requested, on Servers , PCs, Telephones, laptops and mobile devices.

Main Duties

-Log tickets from users - via phone and in person

-Provide first line support for issues

-Assist in keeping network documentation updated

-PC Moves

-Time and Attendance reporting

-Basic Intranet updating of New starter / Extra mile

-Network and phone patching

-Imaging of PCs

-Email forwarding

-New starter set-up / Leavers follow-up

-Speaking to software supplies / company equipment suppliers

Candidate requirements

-Keen learning interest in computers for both software and hardware

-Good telephone manner

-Motivated to assist resolving tickets in a timely fashion

-Able to work both in a team but also individually for some tasks

-Must have a ‘can do’ attitude

-Experience of Microsoft products including Windows 7 operating systems and Office 2007 suite

-Able to communicate with employers of all levels

Training to be provided

Support & Networking Level 3 Apprenticeship - 3 modules in Microsoft Technical Associate or Cisco CCENT - City and Guilds certificate in IT Systems and Principles - City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in IT Professional Competence

Hours: 9am – 5pm (1 hour for lunch)
Weekly Wage: £107
