“Love the team, love the work
and felt supported at all times.”
CPS Paralegal Apprentice
If you don’t know the CPS, we’re responsible for prosecuting criminal cases that have been investigated by the police, and other organisations. We’re a public service, the biggest of its kind across England and Wales, so you can imagine the huge variety of challenging work we get to do. As for the environment itself – it’s buzzing. There are over 6,000 colleagues from every background, every age, all striving to make a difference to people’s lives.
So, here’s the question. Do you want to build some amazing skills in the workplace? The kind of skills that will set you up for a great future. We have all kinds of entry-level opportunities ready right now, from trainee solicitor and casework assistant, to roles in HR and Finance. As an Apprentice, you’ll be our ‘first point of contact’, the friendly, professional colleague who handles general enquiries and provides much-needed admin support.
Working with experts and a trusted mentor, you’ll get the support to develop new skills, at a pace that’s right for you. Anyone over 16 can apply (there’s no age limit) and you’ll be able to complete a Level 3 Operational Delivery training programme, which leads to a recognised City & Guilds qualification.
People are often surprised by the huge range of benefits we offer. There’s flexible working, at least 25 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays and one privilege day). And you’ll be able to access employee savings, including discounts on restaurants, cinema tickets, days out -and shopping too.
If you’d like the chance to build your skills and play an integral role in delivering justice where it’s really needed, we’d love to hear from you.
