Veolia Environmental Services, the UK’s leading waste management provider, is offering trainee Heavy Goods Vehicle Technicians, the chance to learn a trade and gain new skills with the continuation of our waste management mechanical apprenticeship scheme.
The company currently has up to 7 vacancies for the launch of the scheme in early 2012.
The vacancies are located at the Veolia Environmental Services Workshops at:
· Birmingham (two positions)
Successful candidates will develop their work related skills and clear Heath and Safety standards, work procedures, equipment handling and care, and how to install a positive workshop policy, alongside the complete Vehicle Technical Apprenticeship.
Trainees will access a wide framework of qualifications, including:
· A Technical Apprentice Certificate
· Key Skills
Candidates wishing to apply for the apprenticeship must have 5 GCSE with at least 3 in grades A – C (these are to include Maths and English)
The course will be constructed on a mix of practical on the job training and external residential learning at Stephenson’s College in Leicestershire.
