Ecrebo was founded in 2010 by Dr Hassan Hajji and David Vernon, who wanted to change the mindset of point of sale (POS) as a purely transactional location. They reasoned that POS reaches every customer, so when used as a marketing tool, could offer unique advantages. Driven by this insight, we signed up our first customer in 2011 – and have never looked back.

 

 

Over the last few years, we’ve grown quickly, helped by a £12million investment from Air Miles and Nectar founder Sir Keith Mills, and Warburg Pincus Head of Europe, Joseph Schull.

 

 

In fact, things went so well, in 2017, we expanded from our UK base in Reading to launch our North America operation. We are growing in the UK, Europe and the United States. Some people in customer focussed roles and technical roles will need to work closely with colleagues and/or customers overseas which can bring travel opportunities for those that are interested. 

 

 

Job overview: 

 

 

This is an opportunity for a bright, capable and motivated person who wishes to embark on a career as a Software Developer/Engineer. This role requires someone who is quick to learn new technologies and demonstrates an aptitude for it.

 

 

Main responsibilities: 

 

 

  • Customer onboarding - JSON/HTML data configuration
  • Customer configuration data
  • HTML email design
  • Deployment
  • Update/Completion of Documentation of JSON configuration - What does what, How system works etc. 
  • Maintenance of System Documentation 
  • Later use of knowledge/skills gained in above to work for development/debug of new campaign centre features/functions (via Ruby/Rails, JavaScript/ReactJS) 

 

 

Your initial role will be to learn the system and update documentation from that learning. 

 

 

Initial work will be completed/expanded through our UI component test harness, and once skills are proved from that and documentation is up to date, then the successful apprentice will be pulled into the mainstream development work. As well as continuing with the customer onboarding side of things.

  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript

Desired qualifications: 

 

 

7 GCSE's, grade A-C, including English and Maths.
