As an apprentice systems engineer at Atkins, you will join a vibrant ADS&T Systems Engineering team, working with some of the finest minds on the most challenging engineering projects of our time. Day-to-day you will work on a variety of tasks for different clients, which will aid you in developing and cultivating your understanding of how systems function and interact together. Atkins encourage you to think outside the box, collaborating with industry experts to design new systems to be used in the real world. You will learn how to look at a system as whole and consider every aspect of its design from initial concept to disposal at the end of its lifecycle.
Our prestigious systems engineering apprenticeship programme is structured so our apprentices study via day release at Gloucestershire College (Years 1-3) and the University of West England (Years 4-5) throughout the degree apprenticeship scheme. Furthermore, you will develop new skills day-by-day through contributing to project work and attending additional training courses provided by Atkins. You will have 100% of the course fees covered during your apprenticeship and a competitive salary throughout. By the end of your apprenticeship you will have a Level 6 BEng degree qualification and the professional and technical skills to work as a developing systems engineer in a variety of different industries.
