Would you like to discover business from a worldwide perspective? This degree will give you the opportunity to learn and work abroad and tailor your studies to the countries you’re most interested in.

You’ll work alongside successful blue chip companies to gain the best of both worlds, a solid foundation in traditional business subjects like finance, marketing, law and strategic analysis, and amazing opportunities to put your knowledge into practice.  

You’ll learn through industry-led workshops, guest lectures, internships and a company-based mentor, as well as traditional lectures and seminars, led by enterprising academics.  

Everything you do will have a real international dimension. You’ll study three global industries and three regions and best of all, you’ll have the chance to spend part of your degree studying or working in another country.   

Focusing on global business will help you stand out and make you an attractive candidate for multinational employers, because you’ll understand different business cultures and how things work around the world. You’ll have the core business skills and practical experience you need but more than that, the unique opportunities you’ll get here will give you lots of talking points for your CV.  

Whether you want to work for an international company, government body or third sector organisation, this degree is a great grounding for all kinds of careers, including finance, marketing and HR. The world really can be your oyster. 

What you'll study

You'll learn from a combination of lectures, seminars and workshops, each designed to bring the world of business to life using real world examples from our industry partners: 

Module information

Level 4

You’ll study a unique module called Principles of Business, introducing you to core business topics in the context of a real organisation, including finance, marketing, people, law, organisational behaviour and technology. (60 credits). You’ll also study a
module on a particular global industry like Consumer Goods, and another module on doing business in a particular region, such as Greater China. (30 credits)  

You’ll then be free to choose from a great range of relevant and contemporary modules, including App Design for Business, Professional Behaviours & Attitudes - a competence-based module designed to give you key workplace skills, and a research module introducing you to research in a commercial context. (30 credits)

Level 5

Building on the strong foundation you’ll have from Level four, you’ll study six core modules including People Management & Leadership or Operations & Project Management, Introduction to Contract Law, Management Reporting & Decision Making and Strategic Brand Planning. You’ll also study a module on a particular global industry such as professional motorsport, and a module on doing business in a
particular region, like South America.  

You’ll be free to study another module of your choice too, so you can delve into an area that interests you, across business and management, or choose a global industries research module.

Level 6

You’ll study core modules worth 90 credits, including Strategic Management, Strategic Innovation Management, an industry, a region and a final project. You can then choose from a range of advanced modules in areas such as law, accounting, finance and marketing, as well as topical issues like Sustainability and Financial Crises & their Effects. (Worth up to 30 credits).


What are the entry requirements?

Our typical UCAS tariff entry is 120 points (BBB at A level) or equivalent. However, we’re really looking for people with a passion for their subject so if you do not have the UCAS tariff points you need, or traditional entry qualifications, you can still apply through our assessment-based entry route. You’ll be invited to a Professional Workshop to see if we’re the right fit for you.

What are the fees?

Full time undergraduate fees are £9,250. All students that attend and pass a Creative/Professional Workshop will be awarded a partial tuition fee waiver, up to the maximum fee loan available for the programme.
