The computing sector is experiencing more growth than any other area of business, which means computing graduates will be in demand by employers. This new and dynamic programme, which focuses on computer network technologies, will top-up your foundation degree in an IT related area to a degree.
You will develop practical skills in designing and building networks and expertise in five key areas of network management such as fault, configuration, accounting, performance and security. For each of these areas you will learn about available protocols and how to analyse different models and standards.
This newly validated programme aims to provide students with interdisciplinary and collaborative working opportunities. The course aims to facilitate learning for students with varied interests and specialisms such as:
- Routing and Switching
- Network Management
- Project Management
- Concurrent and Distributed Systems
- Ethical Hacking.

You should be working towards, or have attained, a Level 5 qualification (HND/ FdSc/ international equivalent 120 ECTS Credits) in a related discipline. All applicants must be interviewed by a member of the curriculum team (international applicants via Skype).
You will also hold or be working towards Level 2 or equivalent in maths and English Language (or a minimum 5.5 IELTS in each band for international applicants).
