Skills North East currently have an opportunity for a Business Admin Apprenticeship to join the accounts team and become an integral part of an Industry Leader in Hydraulic Pressure Testing, Flushing and Control Systems. Reporting to the accounts manager, the administration apprentice would be responsible for the following:

  • Meet and greet all customers visiting the facility, ensuring visitors sign into the building for H&S reasons and offer refreshments
  • Telephone/reception duties – 1st point of contact for all of the accounts office/training department, all calls are expected to be answered within a 2-3 ring policy then direct calls to relevant personnel
  • General administration duties – filing, scanning/faxing, photocopying
  • Open and distribute incoming mail – frank and post outgoing mail
  • Monitor and manage accounts office inbox, redirecting email where necessary
  • Meeting room diary management and booking as well as refreshments
  • Monitor and maintain stationary levels
  • Maintain holiday chart/records
  • Create monthly files, compile and update various records inc but not limited to; fuel, staff related expenses
  • Make up course training packs and keep all stocks replenished by photocopying in bulk as and when necessary
  • Copy marketing and training information from relevant file onto USB sticks that are issued to delegates
  • Generate basic quotations and email to customers as required
  • Generate training course joining instructions and email to customers as required
  • Keep training room refreshment stock replenished
  • Complying with company procedures including health and safety, directives and PPE requirements
  • Maintaining a work area that is tidy and free from hazards
  • Checking company vehicles before use and driving in a safe and courteous manner
  • Reporting any accidents (Person, property or vehicles) to the board
  • Any ad-hoc duties as required from time-to-time by the board
