Business Administration Apprentice

Employer: Colemans Office Supplies Ltd

Duties: 

  • Ensure the telephone is answered efficiently and in a professional, timely manner
  • Ensure all messages are taken accurately and passed onto the relevant person
  • Distribute received mail, prepare mail and post each evening
  • Receive, record and help visitors
  • Receive and send information electronically where necessary
  • Prepare and produce a variety of documents, including letters, quotes, e-mails etc. as and when requested
  • Prepare, maintain and supply information from the filing system
  • Develop and maintain database systems as requested
  • Assist colleagues in information gathering as and when required         
  • Carry out general administration duties, e.g. photocopying, filing, archiving etc.
  • Share responsibility for good health and safety practices, including participating in fire drills and risk assessments, and reporting to line-management any matters of concern
  • Undertake all duties in accordance with company policies, with particular reference to the Equality and Diversity and Health & Safety policies, and work towards their continuing development and implementation
  • Undertake the Staff Induction Programme and participate in the company training programme      
  • Foster the equality, diversity and rights of others by ensuring people are respected and valued as individuals
  • Undertake such other duties appropriate to your role, as may be required from time to time
  • Undertake development activities as necessary and appropriate to the role

Weekly wage: £192.25

Working week:  Monday to Friday between 9.00am to 5.30pm with a 45 minute lunch break

Total hours per week: 38.45

Expected duration: 15 months

Possible start date: 02 January 2020

  • GCSE Grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent in Mathematics and English
