What you'll be doing
Our Apprentice Business Administrators are responsible for supporting and engaging with different parts of our organisation and interacting with internal or external customers.
Working alongside experienced colleagues you’ll learn how the Business Administrator role requires a focus on adding value. You’ll be involved in projects that contribute to the efficiency of BT through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues. You’ll be trained to deliver your responsibilities with efficiency, integrity and with a positive attitude.
You’ll need to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and you’ll bring a proactive approach to the process of your own skills development. You’ll also be expected to show initiative, manage priorities and your own time, demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making skills. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your people management skills and will eventually coach or mentor colleagues.
Training & Support
Throughout the course of your apprenticeship you’ll gain a wealth of invaluable experience. You’ll also be taught job specific skills such as the use of multiple IT packages and systems, training in how to produce accurate records and documents such as emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals, document and record production and project management skills.
To join our Apprentice Business Administrator Level 3 programme you’ll need good interpersonal skills as well as experience working with customers in some capacity. You must achieve Level 2 English and Maths prior to taking the end point assessment.
