Ricoh UK Products Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Degree Apprentice to join their team, starting on Tuesday 28th August 2018. This apprenticeship programme will help the right candidate to establish a career within the business sector, and offers fantastic qualifications and work place benefits.

Overview

Our Business Development Degree Apprenticeship is a five year programme, delivered in partnership with Aston University. During the programme, you will gain exposure to a number of different departments to learn key business skills and gain exposure to all areas of Ricoh UK Products Ltd, focusing on New Business Development. This apprenticeship will help you to develop key skills in business, including data analysis, business administration, presentation skills, communication skills, new technology, sales and innovation. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to establish a career within the corporate sector, gaining a Chartered Manager Degree and benefiting from mentoring from highly qualified, experienced business professionals. .

Method of Study

The successful candidate will attend Aston University on a block release basis throughout the duration of your apprenticeship programme. In the first year, you will study a wide range of business management topics, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the various functions of management. You will then explore financial and management accounting in more depth, and will learn how to drive innovation in business and how new technology influences operations. Topics include Accounting, Enterprise, Innovation, New Technology, Finance, Economics, Project Management and Communication. In the final year your studies are taken to a more refined level, similar to professional qualification standard, but retain theoretical analysis. Topics include Leadership & Change Management, Business & Law and Strategy, Marketing & Sales. The apprenticeship also includes a personal portfolio and final project. As an organisation, we will arrange placements for you to gain practical experience, aligned to your academic studies.

 

Entry Requirements

  • Achieved A* - C in 5 GCSE subjects (including English, Maths and ICT); and
  • Achieved AAB or ABB in 3 A Level Subjects* (preferably a Business based subject).

*Please note A Levels must be achieved prior to the apprenticeship start date.
