What you'll be doing
BT provides IT and networked services to over 5,500 multinational companies in over 180 countries. In this role you’ll be required to gain skills in sales as well as an understanding of the technical aspects of our global portfolio.
Sales is a core professional discipline within our business and the sales apprentice will be the customer champion and voice of BT. You’ll help our customers by understanding their needs, then using BT standard products and service to drive sales.
The programme combines key technical knowledge and essential sales skills with the possibility of becoming an expert in specific portfolio areas and working with several established global brands and partners.
You must be highly motivated and responsive to customer needs, be able to talk confidently about simple technical solutions, analyse customer requirements, determine priorities and identify customer needs which match BT capabilities.
Training & Support
Throughout the course of your apprenticeship you’ll gain a wealth of invaluable experience. You’ll also be taught job specific skills such as understanding the whole sales journey, prospecting and qualifying potential new customers, how to manage a pipeline of prospects, how to plan strategically and consistently to meet sales targets, and how to create a wide range of sales materials including proposals, tender documents and presentations.
To join our Apprentice Business to Business Sales Level 6 programme you’ll need to achieve (or be on course to achieve) three A-Levels with a minimum of BCC grades. You’ll also need a minimum of four GCSEs at grades 4-9 (C or above) including English and Maths.
