You will study with, and follow the same modules as the full-time students on the first year of the Foundation Degree and will also have the option to continue on to the second year (Level 5) if you choose.  Students who complete the course successfully will receive a Cert HE in Montessori Early Childhood Practice from London Metropolitan University. 

You will study weekly at our MCI London College, taught in small groups by Montessori specialists. Your studies are combined with practical experience on a professional placement in an accredited Montessori setting where you will learn how to put your emerging Montessori knowledge and skills into practice working with young children.

  • Blended Learning – face-to-face and online tuition
  • 2 days in an approved Montessori setting on Professional Placement
  • Meets the Early Years Educator criteria
  • Eligible students can apply for a range of support from Student Finance England
  • Option to progress on to a Foundation Degree

At Montessori Centre International, employability and work-based learning is a key aspect of the course. You will learn how theory and practice work together while on your professional placement. You’ll learn how to use the Montessori teaching materials and will study child development, observation and contemporary early childhood practice.
