CIPD Level 5 for HR

There are two kinds of Level 5 Associate Diplomas. This one is focused specifically on HR and has different option units that help it remain focused on HR. As well, you'll cover topics like diversity and inclusion, wellbeing and global people management.

What is CIPD level 5 equivalent to?

A CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Practice is very similar to a foundation degree.

Can I do CIPD level 5 without doing level 3 first?

Yes, you can. Although Level 3 is a great foundation for this course, and recommended, relevant experience in HR can also be considered.

What do I need to start this course?

This is a course for experienced HR professionals, so you will need previous formal qualifications to get started. 

  • An existing Foundation qualification (or equivalent) is essential; alternatively, relevant work experience can be considered
  • You must be over the age of 18 or have a third-party payee for any financial agreement
  • You must have a solid grasp of the English language (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent if English is not your first language)
  • You must have access to a computer or other internet enabled device and a reliable internet connection, plus basic computer skills
  • To receive the Diploma qualification, you need to be registered with the CIPD
