This is a fantastic opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our Finance Department. Finance plays an integral role in supporting the firm achieve short and long term strategies for growth and development. The teams include Financial Accounting, Commercial, Tax, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Cashier, Billings and Credit Management.Our Commercial Accounts Apprentice will gain valuable hands-on experience working within the Commercial Accounts team, as well as gain exposure to the other teams within Finance to generate a real in-depth understanding of how a successful Finance function operates within a leading London Law Firm.This role will work closely with the Mentor and Manager in each team who will create a positive and supportive working environment that will enable the Apprentice to put their academic learning into practice, whilst having the opportunity to add real-time value and contribute to each team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Working with both external clients and internal lawyers at various levels of seniority.
- Accurately processing and monitoring financial transactions.
- Supporting the Finance Team with various ongoing projects.
- Work with lawyers on ad hoc requests where financial input is required.
- To continually review and make suggestions for efficiencies to be implemented and new practices to be initiated within the department.

During the apprenticeship programme we will entrust you with a lot of responsibility, and fully support you in a variety of ways to ensure you reach your potential.
You will be assigned a supervisor in each rotation who will assign tasks, mentor you, provide training and feedback on how you are doing.
The Early Careers Team is here to support you throughout your Mishcon journey, from when you submit your application through to qualification.
You will also be paired with a Buddy who is a current Apprentice and was in your position a year ago, so will be able to answer all your questions.
As well as the apprenticeship academic qualification, you will receive internal training from the Finance Team as well as the Mishcon Academy, our in-house place of learning.
