Tamarind Collection owns and operates three restaurants in Central London. The group was established in 1995 with the opening of our flagship restaurant, Tamarind in Mayfair, which was the first fine dining Indian restaurant in the world to receive a Michelin star. Currently Tamarind of Mayfair remains as one of the only six Indian restaurants to hold the accolade.

Vacancy full description

  • Maintain a positive and proactive attitude at all times
  • Assist more senior chefs in preparing meals in either part or in full
  • Responsible for executing allocated dishes on time to the required standard
  • Work as part of the kitchen team under the direction of the Head chef and chefs
  • Support the demands of the kitchen
  • Attend college and complete 15-month apprenticeship, undertake training as required
  • Actively seek to improve skills and achieve personal development
  • Work in a clean and tidy manner
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Comply with the provisions of your contract and any of our Company Policies
  • Maintaining high standards of personal and general food hygiene.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness in food preparation area and supporting catering areas.
  • Ensure all equipment used for food production is safe and clean,
  • Prepare cook and present food for staff, patient’s visitors and hospitality functions, receive training as necessary
  • Cleaning and wash-up of equipment, machinery, associated with the above service.
  • Appropriate disposal of refuse.

Pay

£224 per week

We have an opportunity for a young person to join our Michelin Star Kitchen to learning the secrets of exotic Indian cuisine.
