Vacancy Overview:

An opportunity for a commis chef to join the busy city centre restaurant/bar - Utopia The Country Bar.

Working Week:

30 to 40 hours a week

Detailed Job Description:

Duties will include:
• Ingredient preparation
• Cooking meals through various different cooking methods
• Plating up and presentation of food
• Taking instruction from senior chefs
• Cleaning and clearing down work stations
• Working in a safe manner at all times
• Portion control

The applicants for these vacancies MUST be passionate about working in hospitality, and view it as a career path.

Skills Required:

A desire to learn in the kitchen, focused and hard working

Personal Qualities:

Must be hard working, punctual, be able to work under pressure, flexible and also work under instruction and on own initiative.

Other Information:

As the pub is in a rural location access transport is essential, or living in the local vicinity is advantageous. this is a fast paced and busy kitchen so the right applicant must be hard working and be able to work well under pressure A good understanding on the hospitality industry is required for this position.

This is a physically and mentally demanding job and you must be prepared to be on your feet during prep, service and clean down.
Earliest start time is 9am. Kitchen closes at 9.30pm, Monday to Saturday and Sunday the kitchen is closed.
