On the Mechanical and Electrical Aircraft Fitter Apprenticeship at Airbus you will gain a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (Aeronautical Engineering) and a NVQ Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering.
On completion of our 38 month programme you will become a Skilled Aircraft Fitter with Electrical and Mechanical qualifications.
Apprentices on this programme study at City of Bristol College to achieve their qualifications, and their industry based work takes place at our Airbus A400M Aircraft facility at our site in Filton, Bristol.
Your first year on this Craft Apprenticeship programme will predominantly be spent at our partner college to achieve the Level 2 Foundation course; learning about engineering operations, and achieving a number of technical certificates and company required qualifications.
Once the foundation phase is complete, our Craft Apprentices move into the A400M facility at our site in Filton to work alongside our skilled fitters and operators. Here, you'll learn a range of different skills and methods which will enable you to complete your level 3 vocational qualification.
