As a Customer Service Representative within the Customer Relations Team, you’ll be responsible for the end to end management and resolution of complaints and enquiries from British Gas domestic energy customers. You’ll take full ownership of your customer, getting to the heart of the query through investigation, deciding the best course of action and have the time to provide excellent service that earns our customers trust. You’ll need to have great attention to detail ensuring everything you do is within compliance guidelines. We encourage forward thinking to achieve innovative solutions which will gain rapid results for our customers.

This role revolves around three guiding principles: find solutions, restore customer confidence through effective communication, and provide feedback to the wider business to drive ongoing customer service improvement. 

You’ll be working to targets and also promoting our ground breaking products such as Smart metering, insurance services and our reward scheme for customers.

The role consists of customer contact through telephone, letter, email and SMS. If you’ve got outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including previous telephony experience, interpersonal skills and take pride in giving your best, our comprehensive training programme will give you further knowledge to deliver a first-class customer experience.
