Employer Description

We are a multi award winning, leading IT Service Provider. Due to continued growth we are looking to expand our Customer Services Team in our Service Desk department with Apprentices to train up and become our next cohort of support professionals.Successful candidates will join our Service Desk Team, providing excellent service to our customers in a busy call-centre environment.No technical or IT knowledge is required, but candidates must be PC literate ( especially Outlook)with business admin skills. The role is customer focused ensuring the customer receives the best possible service when logging IT fault calls.



The primary function of the role is customer liaison, ensuring that the customer receives timely responses to their e-mails.In addition to this, the successful candidate will liaise with internal departments to facilitate customer requests and accurately record the details of new calls.



The ideal candidate will have some experience in Customer Service, Service Desk or Call-centre environments, although all experience will be considered as training will be provided.

Job specification:

Responsibilities

  • Dealing with incoming e-mails from customers and recording information
  • Acting as customer liaison throughout the customer call logging experience
  • Providing updates to the customer on the progression of their request
  • Administration of required systems and documentation
  • Carrying out ad-hoc purchasing requests such as flight / hotel booking


Qualities/requirements
  • Office based Customer Service skills
  • Empathy and the ability to understand customer needs
  • Effective organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Outlook &Excel


Qualifications requires
  • 3x GCSE ( or equivalent)at grades A-C in any subject plus GCSE English and Maths ( or equivalents)at grade D or above


Additional information

Daily working hours:

Mon-Fri, rotating shifts - 7: 30am-4: 00pm, 9am-5: 30pm, 11am-7: 30pm, ( 37.5 hours a week)



Other Important Information

Offers will be subject to passing DBS check ( formerly CRB check)and satisfactory references must be received before start of employment



The salary will be dependent on the candidate age, starting around GBP 10,000 per annum
