Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is an NHS trust, which was formed on 1 October 2013 by the merger of Lewisham Healthcare NHS Trust and Queen Elizabeth Hospital. It is responsible for running two acute hospitals, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and University Hospital Lewisham, in addition to community health services in Lewisham.
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust are looking for an enthusiastic team player to be a pivotal part of their Education and Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of high quality data, information, audit and performance reporting for different aspects of the Education and Development department’s activity.
The successful candidate will input, extract and analyse data to produce accurate regular and ad-hoc internal and external monthly performance reporting.
The successful candidate will develop to be the team expert in all software programmes and data management systems used within the department to collect and analyse data and will actively evaluate and implement new technologies that become available.
- Data and Information input and analysis of Education and Development activity and performance data, including but not limited to, reporting and auditing requirements from arising from Learning and Development, Health and Wellbeing and Organisational Development activities.
- Become an expert resource within the Trust for data analysis, interpretation and presentation, utilising databases, training activity specific programmes, such as ESR OLM and the Mandatory Training Tool as well as employing analytical tools across a wide range of data sets.
- To develop, maintain and update monitoring and alert systems and procedures for Trust-wide mandatory training compliance.
- To analyse performance and activity date in relation to mandatory training targets, strategic objectives and business plans to support learning and development across the Trust.
- Produce accurate and timely monthly reports for dissemination to Directorates, including occupational health, flu, friends and family test, PDR’s, mandatory training compliance, DNA’s and capacity reports.
- Analyse performance statistics and costs in relation to usage of resources, e.g. cost benefits analysis of training provision to demonstrate value for money, efficiency and effectiveness and to report on performance as well as inform long term planning.
- Assist with the development of new processes and local databases from paper or electronic format for the enhancement of existing data collection and reporting procedures in order to meet the changing needs of internal and external information users.
- Undertake continuous research and audits in relation to all the services provided within the department, to identify and document areas for improvement within the department by examining internal and external data, devising and conducting studies e.g. on customer satisfaction, feedback and complaints and implementing procedures to enhance satisfaction.
- Support with the compilation of information and facilitate required activity in relation to professional bodies’ accreditation visits.
- Work as a member of the wider Workforce and Education Directorate, working with colleagues to achieve departmental and Trust wide objectives.
Desired qualities, skills and experiences:
- Excellent Excel skills including advanced working knowledge of formulas for creating and manipulating spreadsheets. (will be a competency based test)
- Excellent Mathematical skills
- Must be able to listen to instructions
- Ability to work and travel between sites where conference facilities are managed
- Flexible and ability to adapt to service needs
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Desired qualification requirements:
- A-Levels in ICT/Business/Computing
- Or an Apprenticeship in a similar subject (this must be at least the level below the planned programme)
- Or an International Baccalaureate at level 3 in ICT
5 days per week,
Monday – Friday,
9am - 5:30pm (may vary slightly),
37.5hrs per week [all details will be confirmed with the employer]
£26,000 per annum
