What you'll be doing
As a Data Analyst for our Research Teams, you’ll be developing expertise in data mining, research, looking for trends in performance data and driving in depth analysis in support of the research department.
You’ll develop a detailed understanding of mobile network technologies, platforms and other emerging technologies to enable the extraction and manipulation of key data. You’ll be heavily involved in the analysis of data sets. Setting up and running experiments and tests, producing proof of concept prototypes and the analysis and interpretation of the data to aid research.
Training & support
Throughout the course of your apprenticeship you’ll gain a wealth of invaluable experience. You’ll also be taught job specific skills such as how to support research activities, data-driven decision making, data analysis, statistical targeting solutions. You will learn how to identify, collect then migrate data to and from a range of internal and external systems and how these are applied to technology research.
You’ll learn how to undertake research, manipulate and link different data sets and how to interpret and apply the organisation’s data and information security standards, policies and procedures to data management activities. Once you’ve gained sufficient experience you’ll be accountable for informing business activities through research, the development of customer segmentation, propensity models and insights.
You’ll be taught to use a range of analytical techniques such as research methodologies, data mining, time series forecasting and modelling techniques to identify and predict trends and patterns in data. You’ll also assist with the production of performance dashboards and reports, as well as assist with data quality checking and cleansing that will be used in the research of technology.
You will achieve a Degree on completion.
You’ll need to achieve (or be on course to achieve) three A-Levels with a minimum of AAB grades. You’ll also need a minimum of four GCSEs at grades 4-9 (C or above) including English and Maths.
