Nursery Apprentice

We have vacancies for a nursery apprentice and a preschool apprentice. We are looking for someone who can work towards their level 2 or 3 qualification. The role will involve working with children (being a keyworker, planning and delivering activities daily) as well as working as a team (attending training opportunities etc).

At Ruislip Stars Nurseries, we are currently looking for an apprentice to join our team!

About us:

We are a nursery based in South Ruislip and have been open since February 2015. We have two buildings: the nursery and the preschool. We care for children from the age of 6 months old and continue to care for children whilst they move onto school in our before/after school club.

About the role:

As a nursery apprentice, you will be shown and supported to undertake the responsibility for planning and delivering a programme of activities, being a keyworker and tracking children’s development, attending staff meetings and maintaining good communication with the team, and more. You will also be required to study for a level 2 or 3 award in childcare alongside working.

Experience and skills required:

Childcare experience is beneficial; however, we are looking for somebody who has good written and verbal communication skills, works well as a team, is willing to learn new things and is willing to get stuck in from day one.

English and Maths GCSE – pass (or equivalent)

Training to be provided

Apprentices will be required to attend college at least x1 day per week either at Uxbridge, Harrow or Hayes Campus completing necessary mandatory training and units associated with the apprenticeship.

Our Account Manager, industry-trained assessor and Learning Advocate support apprentices to deliver our high-quality training programmes.

The apprentice will be required to complete:

  • QCF Framework
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities
  • Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours
  • Standard and End Point Assessment
  • Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT (if required)
  • Other training will be provided by the employer as required to enable the fulfilment of the job role.

Future prospects
