Electric Guitar Course - Part-time 6 week course

Our 6-week part-time electric guitar course is designed for musicians who need a flexible and manageable learning schedule. By enrolling on an ICMP part-time Electric Guitar course you will be able to develop your playing ability and study, collaborate and connect with like-minded players. Available at two different levels to suit your ability.

Level: Beginner. No previous learning is required, however a passion for guitar is essential!

Overview: This course provides an introduction to the electric guitar, its role in music and the basic technical skills needed to play songs. On this course your tutor will guide you through the fundamentals of theory, technique and concepts, making reference to contemporary music examples.

By completing this course, you will:

  • Be able to play open position and barre chords
  • Learn the pentatonic and major scales
  • Understand the notes on the guitar neck
  • Develop ability to play basic strumming patterns
  • Develop a repertoire of songs
  • Perform competently as part of a band

Course length: 6 Weeks

Start date: 16th January 2018 

Day/Time: Sessions are held on Wednesday evenings between 7 pm and 9 pm at our campus in Kilburn.

Cost: £199 (includes student materials pack, supporting audio and course tuition)
