What does the course involve?: This qualification will equip you with the skills and knowledge required of an engineering technician giving the chance to progress onto the HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. You will study five core units: >> Mathematics for technicians >> Health and safety in the engineering workplace >> Communications for engineering technicians >> Electricical and electronic principles >> Project There will also be six specialist units from: >> Engineering design >> Further mathematics for engineering technicians >> Further electrical principles >> Principles and applications of electronic devices and circuits >> Electonic measurement and testing >> Commercial aspects of engineering organisations All subjects will have specific assignements to complete to provide evidence of understanding. Some of these will be "time-constrained" and take place under open book examination conditions. All units must be successfully complted. Entry Requirements: You need four GCSEs (grade A-C) or a relevant Level 2 qualification to apply. Mature students with employment in an appropriate industry will also be considered.
