About the Role
This advanced apprenticeship programme in electrical and instrumentation is designed to develop you over 4 years to reach a minimum level of a skilled shift electrical and instrumentation technician. You will develop your skills through a mix of on-the-job training as well as gaining formal qualifications through college attendance. Whilst at work you will be putting your learnings into practice, working with an experienced and friendly team who are keen to support you.

What You Will Do
You will spend the first year at College, before moving to day release in years 2-4.
You will obtain a nationally recognised apprenticeship as a Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician, which includes qualifications at Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations, Level 3 Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Level 3 Extended Diploma in Maintenance Engineering. If you are demonstrate the right level of knowledge growth and commitment during your apprenticeship, you will also have the opportunity to study for a HNC Engineering qualification in the final two years.
Who You Are
You will have a minimum of 5 GCSE qualifications at grade 5 or grade C (or above), this must include Maths, English and a Science and demonstrate a real interest in electrical and/or instrumentation engineering.
You will be a driven, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with a positive can-do attitude, happy to work as part of a team and willing to learn and develop.
Key to success for this apprenticeship is to have the ability to balance time between studies and work to ensure success in both.

More About Trafford Park Mill, Manchester
Our production site in Manchester is located in the heart of Trafford Park industrial area, next to the river. We have a large free staff car park and are located close to bus stops and a 15-minute walk from Eccles train station. We have an on-site subsidized canteen, as well as coffee break-out areas. There is one paper machine and 3 converting lines focused on producing family products such as Cushelle and Plenty. With nearly 200 people on-site including approximately 20 apprentices, there is great team ready to welcome you.
