If so then this Apprenticeship could be for you.  Our Slot Technicians are empowered to service the operation of the entire venue. They are responsible for ensuring that VGC core service values are demonstrated through the maintenance of all electronic gaming products, Technicians are also responsible for periodic equipment testing and may at times be called upon to assist other departments with various issues of a technical nature. Our technical staff will also be able to interact with customer enquiries with a good level of customer service.

Reports to:  Electronic Gaming and IT Systems Manager

Roles and responsibilities:

Maintenance:

  • Handing over and confirming completion of maintenance activities
  • Carrying out fault diagnosis on electrical equipment and circuits
  • Maintaining electrical equipment
  • Modifying or rewiring electrical circuits
  • Carrying out condition monitoring of plant and equipment
  • Testing electrical equipment and circuits
  • Carrying out preventative planned maintenance on electrical equipment
  • Assisting in the installation of electrical/ electronic equipment
  • Customer Service - Ensure that guests enjoy a positive Gaming experience through meeting service standards
  • Responsibilities - Ensures that the Gaming offering is compliant with business expectation
  • Show an acute awareness and understanding of Game Protection through managing and reporting suspicious, aggressive play action in a timely and efficient manner
  • All machines and equipment to be kept in good service with regular PPM schedules
  • Understanding of all the products of the various machines
  • Assist in the resolution of player disputes in line with Company policy and procedures
  • Compliance - Minimise risk to business and self by ensuring operations and personal license commitments are carried out in accordance with legislative regulations
  • Understands the importance and responsibilities of maintaining personal licence conditions
  • Accountable for ensuring that audits completed on assigned Gaming terminals/cabinets/ equipment are compliant.

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE grades C / 4 or above in maths and English or AS levels (or equivalent) would be an advantage
  • Acceptance is subject to college interview, initial assessment and taking a skill area test

EAL Level 3 NVQ Extended Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (QCF) - 30 months
