Employer: Mirius Global I T

Mechatronic engineering is a multidisciplinary branch of engineering that focuses on the engineering of both electrical and mechanical systems. You will be working closely with the project engineering team, who have years of industry experience thus ensuring a thorough well balanced & enjoyable apprenticeship.

Duties: 

  • Find faults in electrical systems
  • Deal with machine breakdowns
  • New installations
  • Help to design and build bespoke equipment

You will also be trained in the use of test equipment and fault diagnosis on the range of equipment employed in the production lines.

At Mirius the apprentice training will include a combination of:

  • Installations (Mechanical & Electrical)
  • Fault finding (Mechanical & Electrical) 
  • Understanding PLC systems
  • The use of Relay logic controllers & installation of
  • Single & three phase installations
  • Machine reconditioning projects 
  • Pneumatic systems training
  • Bench fitting
  • Welding
  • Machine operating training

Weekly wage: £220.00

Working week: Monday – Friday: 07:00am – 15:30pm. Total hours per week: 40.00

Expected duration: 4 years

Desired qualifications:
