Engineering: Structural Steelwork Fabricator Apprentice

Duties: 

  • The apprentice will also be taught fabrication in structural steel by a much respected company in the Coventry area
  • He or she will be taught how weld in MIG, TIG and how to fabricate sheet metal
  • To achieve this the apprentice will be taught how to work with engineering drawings and specifications with standard measuring equipment
  • The apprentice will also be taught how to fabricate architectural steelwork. They will learn how to make the component parts of stairways amongst other projects
  • In the course of his or her apprenticeship he/she will be taught best practice by experienced fabricator welders

Weekly wage: £195.00

Working Week: Mon –Thurs 7.30 16.30 Lunch 13.00 to 13.30 Fri – 7:30 12:30 Daily 10 mins at 10.20 to 10.30

Total hours per week: 39.00

Expected duration: 27 months

Possible start date: 01 September 2021

Desired qualifications:
