Help Desk Heroes - Infrastructure Technician Apprentice
HelpDesk Heroes is a business IT support company that works with clients in and around London ranging from small to medium size companies. This support ranges from installation and configuration of servers to computer peripheral management. Support is provided with both remotely and in person on-site with the clients. We pride ourselves on a pro-active approach to IT which provides the clients with benefits that they didn’t even know they needed. We are as on the ball and involved with our clients as an in-house team could be.
The candidate will be hands-on with the IT Engineers daily routines. They will be joining the first and second line of support. Candidates will respond to support phone calls and emails and calmly guide the client to a solution. They will be doing both on-site and remote support so will need to be able to present themselves and their ideas to a customer in a clear and calm manner. They will assist with the daily / weekly backup and maintenance routines, Planning and implementation of infrastructure changes. They will manage and administrate several servers of varying capacities and complexities. They will pro-actively monitor all networks to look for potential improvements that will benefit the business at hand. Candidates will also have the opportunity to get involved with managing websites, whether it be on the back end or the front end.
Needs to have good IT skills, Either Mac or Windows. Needs to be passionate about technology. Needs to be able to communicate in clear English, both verbally and written. Needs to be able to do in-depth research on tasks at hand to find the best possible solution.
Enthusiastic, hands-on, willing to learn, handle pressure well. Sharp mind, able to think outside of the box. Self-motivated and hungry to succeed.
