Horticulture Apprentice

Duties: 

The successful candidate will assist in maintaining a large private garden which has plenty of variety including shrub, herbaceous and bedding borders, pots, growing of vegetables, herbs and fruit, cut flower area, rose garden, glass houses and parkland. You will also undertake in maintaining the general appearance of the garden which includes:

• General maintenance and cleaning
• Tree maintenance
• Hedge cutting
• Mowing
• Seeding and weeding
• Path edging
• Planting up pots and beds
• Leaf blowing and keeping driveways clear of debris

Weekly wage: £240.00

Working week: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm

Total hours per week: 40.00

Expected duration: 24 months

Possible start date: 01 March 2021

Personal qualities: 

• An enthusiastic, motivated individual with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
• Confident working independently, or as part of a team
• Takes direction well, and works within agreed procedures.

Desired qualifications:

• GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent qualifications in English and maths
