HOSPITALITY SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP NVW LEVEL 3

This Diploma is an Advanced Hospitality Diploma. It builds upon the foundations of the level 2 Hospitality service and allows you to develop the supervisory skills needed for the Hospitality Industry. If you live outside London, the College offers accommodation and the possibility to work for a Catering Companyin the meantime you are studying with us.

These qualifications that you gain in the Hospitality Supervision course are aimed at learners interested in hospitality and catering. It is both for new entrants and also for those already working in hospitality and catering.

  • City and Guilds Level 3  NVQ Diploma in Supervision and Leadership

PROGRESSION ROUTE

Successful completion of  the Level 3 course at Lakefield has led our graduating students to the following university degree courses:

  • BA (Hons) in Event Management
  • BSc (Hons) in Culinary Arts Management
  • BA (Hons) in Event Management with Hospitality
  • BA (Hons) in Hospitality Management
  • BA (Hons) in Hospitality Management & Food Studies
  • BA (Hons) in Travel & Tourism Management
  • With this qualification you can enter immediate employment in positions such as floor housekeeper, restaurant supervisor, chef de partie etc.

QUALIFICATION GAINED

Morning 8:45am-12:20pm Practical Training Cookery

Afternoon: 1:00-5:30 Theory Classes

Mandatory Units in the Hospitality Supervision course

  • Set objectives and provide support for team members (5 Credits)
  • Develop working relationships with colleagues (3 Credits)
  • Contribute to the control of resources (4 Credits)
  • Maintain the health, hygiene, safety and security of the working environment (4 Credits)
  • Lead a team to improve customer service (7 Credits)

Plus optional units:

  • Supervise Functions (5 Credits)
  • Supervise Food Service (4 Credits)
  • Supervise Housekeeping Operations (4 Credits)
  • Support learning and development within own area of responsibility (5 Credits)
  • Contribute to the Development of a Wine List (5 Credits)
  • Copy of Lead and manage meetings (4 Credits)
  • Copy of Employment rights and responsibilities in the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism sector (2 Credits)
