Our businesses offer the rental and sale of specialist products and associated services to a diverse range of end markets, including construction, civil engineering, rail, water, oil and gas, outdoor events and housebuilding.
We are looking to recruit an Apprentice to join our busy HR Shared Service Centre in our group head office in Harrogate. You will achieve a Level 3 Diploma qualification in Human Resources Practice through the Chartered Institute of Personal Development (CIPD) upon completing our programme which will cover approximately 18 months.
This apprenticeship will give you a rounded exposure in our HR support team which will cover producing contracts, administering starters and leavers, database maintenance, creating reporting information, training planning & scheduling. You will work within a supportive team handling a busy daily workload that will involve communicating with the businesses effectively via email or on the telephone.
Modules that will be covered will include:
Developing yourself as an effective HR Practitioner
Recording, analysing and using Human Resources information
Understanding organisations and the role of Human Resources
Recruitment & selection
Supporting good practice in performance & reward management
Supporting change in organisation
Key attributes & skills that we are looking for:
Customer service – the ability to communicate in a friendly and professional way with our internal customers
Email construction - good level and command of the English language & the ability to produce a professional email when this communication is required
Attention to detail & accuracy – examples of where you have been required to produce work that is accurate and that you can identify any errors
Minimum qualifications required:
GCSEs in Maths & English grades C or above or Level 4 or above
