If you would like to help raise awareness surrounding the problems faced by marginalised groups, then joining our Human Rights Project in Argentina is perfect for you.
Projects Abroad Human Rights Office (PAHRO) is a professional organisation that works alongside qualified in-house lawyers on worthwhile projects that aim to address and resolve concerns such as domestic violence and housing disputes.
As a volunteer on this project you will work within a structured programme in the city of Córdoba and your role will be dependent on your level of experience and your specific areas of interest.
You may meet people from all areas of society, including those belonging to international and domestic authorities and organisations and will gain a lot of first-hand experience by helping to raise awareness of human rights, monitoring vulnerable areas and resolving human rights abuses.
Many victims of these abuses are unaware of their human rights or the protection they are entitled to. Projects Abroad thus regularly organises educational and awareness raising outreach work which involves travelling to various communities, schools and other institutions.
In order to identify communities and individuals in need of assistance, the PAHRO performs human rights monitoring which helps identify abuses, allows us to determine their extent and assess the needs of the people affected whilst determining a strategy for change.
