ICAEW’s BASE Competition is open for entries; don’t miss your chance to compete!
BASE, ICAEW’s National Business and Accounting competition is open for entries and we want you to be a part of it! The competition is for students aged 16-19 in school or college and with 44 heats taking place we know this year offers an exciting challenge. BASE is a truly unique experience which allows you to advance your employability, network with employers from top companies in the UK and gain insight into a career within the accountancy, finance and business sector.
In a team of six, you will take on the role of ICAEW Chartered Accountants, analysing company information and using your findings to provide innovative solutions to real life business issues. Throughout the day, you will be supported by a professional mentor who will guide you through all aspects of the challenge. Lastly, you will present your recommendations to a panel of judges acting as the company’s board of directors. The team with the best overall performance will be crowned Regional Winners and secure their place to compete at the spectacular National Final.
BASE not only helps you develop a range of transferrable skills, it is an impressive example to include on personal statements, CVs, job applications and to discuss at interviews.
