The Integration department facilitate value-add services for Insight customers, ranging from simple device checking, asset tag & data capture to complex PC & Server work. The Department has a range of basic services but most are bespoke to individual clients. 

Job overview: 

The role of Integration Technician is to take responsibility for the Integration, testing & quality assurance of basic to bespoke client system configurations. This can include but is not limited to software and hardware installations & PC imaging. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Integrate components in accordance with client requirements 
  • Working product ranges include servers, networks, workstations, mobile devices and peripherals 
  • Responsible for ensuring correct procedures are followed with associated paperwork, this will involve the following of client created process documents and QA testing
  • Support the Integration Development Engineer with the creation/amendment of client process documents 
  • Be responsible for assigned work, handing over successfully across shifts if and when required 
  • Proactively discuss issues and work through problems directly with the client either via phone or email 
  • Adhere to safety guidelines at all time 
  • Responsible for the testing of anti-static equipment - This will involve the setup of the anti-static equipment in accordance with the ISO procedures 
  • Cleaning and tidying up of Test Area in accordance with the setup procedures 
  • Monitor and review progress and report daily to the Integration Team Leader/s

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
