What you'll be doing
Infrastructure Technicians set people up on systems and provide support when they need it, maintaining the organisation’s productivity by solving issues as they arise. They provide support to our internal and external customers, helping them to use our technologies as productively as possible. They use a range of tools to problem-solve and trouble-shoot non-routine problems.
Training & Support
Throughout the course of your apprenticeship you’ll gain a wealth of invaluable experience. You’ll also be taught job specific skills such as IT security, how to securely operate across all platforms, your areas of responsibility in-line with organisational guidance and legislation, how to operate a range of mobile devices and securely add them to a network and how to effectively record, analyse and communicates data at the appropriate level.
You’ll also learn workflow management, how to deal with pressure and continue to progress and allocate tasks in accordance with the organisation’s reporting and quality systems, your health & safety responsibilities and how to optimise the performance of hardware, software and network systems and services in line with business requirements.
To join our Apprentice Infrastructure Technician Level 3 programme you’ll need to achieve a minimum of five GCSEs at grades 4–9 (GCSE C or above) including English Language and Maths. Unless you’re seeking a desk-based role, you’ll also need a full driving licence with no more than six points.
