Insurance Apprenticeship programme

It’s simple; without insurance, new technologies wouldn’t get off the ground. Businesses would grind to a halt and communities across the world would be left vulnerable to risks such as civil unrest and natural catastrophe. Maybe ensuring human progress wasn’t what you had in mind when you first thought about a career in insurance.
Our 15-month Insurance Apprenticeship programme has been designed to empower you to progress in the world of specialist insurance. We’ve taken a lot of care with the creation of this Apprenticeship. We’re very proud that it’s the first Apprenticeship programme in the industry to be accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute, because of its high calibre.
What you’ll be doing
You will undertake a variety of rotations and whether you’re working to, investigate emerging risks, or negotiate insurance for a huge solar power plant, the variety will be vast. You’ll build your skills within your professional discipline and emerge from the programme as an insurance professional.
What you’ll gain from us
The Lloyd’s Apprenticeship programme will empower you to get your career in specialist insurance off to a flying start. Everything is geared towards helping you to achieve your best. This includes tailoring each placement to make the experience as rich as possible including comprehensive training in interpersonal skills, and funding and support towards gaining your level 3 insurance practitioner apprenticeship and the CII qualification (Certificate level).
As an Apprentice, you’ll earn a competitive salary of £18,650. You’ll also receive 25 days’ holiday, private medical cover, access to our subsidised restaurant, season ticket travel loans, and a £200 clothes allowance to meet our dress code.
What you’ll need
First of all, we’re looking for people with a genuine interest in what we do. Of course, you won’t be an expert in Insurance but you will be able to show us why you’re interested in Lloyd’s. You should have a sense of commercial awareness, good analytical skills and enjoy working with other people. In terms of qualifications you will need 3 A-levels or equivalent in any subject (grade C or above), and you will have GCSE Maths and English (grade C or higher) or equivalent.
