Job overview:
This is predominantly a field-based role working at our clients’ sites, supporting their print solutions.
It is a real mix of mechanical and electrical engineering, IT integration and client handling skills.
Your learning will be based around "shadowing" senior engineers, manufacturer led training courses, and in-house training/test labs.
After time, you will be trusted with your own client base, and become their main support resource. This will come with further reward with proven success.
As part of a small team, we expect staff to show a willingness to help out in all aspects of the division, wherever they can.
Main role / Responsibilities [will include but not be limited to]:
Preventative Maintenance – Routine service and calibration of equipment, to ensure systems are running at their optimum, and prevent future problems
Field call outs – Responding promptly to client requests for field visits. Trouble shooting the issues and rectifying the faults
Remote assistance – Diagnosing and rectifying faults by phone and remote support apps
Installation and integration – Pre sales support to deliver best solution. Logistics planning of installing hardware and software. Building and integrating systems into clients’ networks
Client training – Be able to demonstrate key features and educate clients and how to best use their systems
MPS (Managed Print Services) monitoring – Remote monitoring of print systems, collecting information, responding to any requests from machines in the field, report analysis
Stock control – Assist in keeping stock levels correct and relevant, at stores and clients
Colour management – Skilled approach to ensuring equipment is producing colour accurately. Utilising software and tools to manage colour across devices, operating systems and applications
Back-up and recovery – Ensuring clients’ data/configurations are backed up, and up to date. Knowledge of best approaches to restore this information
Client liaising – Communicating with clients on a social, as well as professional level is a key feature to sustaining, and growing business

Desired qualification requirements:
Minimum 5 GCSE Grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English
Working week:
Monday - Friday,
9am – 5:30pm,
37.5hrs per week, [all details will be confirmed with the employer]
Salary:
£12,000 per annum
