Currently seeking an ambitious confident individual looking for an IT apprenticeship position in a skilled team to provide IT support for staff in the UK, US and Australia. Assist in the running of IT infrastructure and computing at a modern technology-focused company that' s also ethical and friendly.

Job specification:

Key responsibilities:

  • Install operating systems and required applications on office desktops and laptops
  • Providing hardware maintenance
  • Specify hardware requirements, obtain quotes from suppliers and place orders
  • Configure computers for conferences or other external events
  • Organise and execute the installation and movement of workstations
  • Provide first point of contact for technical support for users
  • Organise creation and maintenance of user accounts, associated mailboxes, user rights, group membership and access permissions, via the IT Services team in India
  • Maintain documentation relating to the above


From 6 months into the role:
  • Sourcing and purchasing of hardware


Personal skills: -
  • Is enthusiastic about IT
  • Learns quickly and can apply what they' ve learned
  • Rolls up their sleeves and gets involved
  • Enjoys keeping ahead of new technologies
  • Can talk to users at all levels without the jargon
  • Has plenty of common sense


Technical skills:
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Good knowledge of Windows, Mac or Linux
  • Some knowledge of networking
  • Problem solving skills - hardware maintenance and fault diagnosis
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to work with some autonomy ( given guidance)
