This is a small but well established company based in East Kilbride and it was founded on the principle of delivering first class outsourced IT support to companies with no in-house IT department. An exciting apprenticeship opportunity has arisen at our company. We are an independent IT services company, providing private and public sector organisations with a fully supported range of turnkey IT services.

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic apprentice to join our team to assist with all IT functions. Our client based in East Kilbride are seeking an enthusiastic individual to work in an established IT Support business. Our client has a great track record in investing in young people, having previously supporting several apprentices through a QA Apprenticeship. You will be working within a team of IT support engineers supporting a range of clients with all their IT requirements remotely & on site.

Your training provided by QA Apprenticeships will...Start with a 12-14 month IT apprenticeship, which consists of training in small groups and work based assessment covering: Operating systems, Server administration, Customer support, Networking and Security.You will gain a Diploma for Information Technology & Telecommunications Professionals SCQF Level 6 plus MCP in Windows configuration and Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part This is a fantastic opportunity to start a long and rewarding career in IT.


Key Responsibilities:

Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications

Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks

Talking staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues and providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports

Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faultsSetting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues supporting the roll-out of new applications testing and evaluating new technology

Expected to establish good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers

Someone who has the ability to talk about technology in simple terms Someone who is a logical thinker An excellent problem solver with strong analytical skills Someone with a passion for IT and who likes to keep up to date with the latest technology


Additional Information:

Monday - Friday 8.45am - 5.15pm The salary starts at GBP 4.35 per hour, and will rise as the apprenticeship goes on
