Junior Paralegal Apprentice with Nicholls & Nicholls

Working in a small team with expert guidance and tuition to understand the basic procedures and case managements systems of a digital based firm. You become a competent and successful paralegal working on cases from complex page heavy fraud and white-collar crime to murder and serious violent offences.

  • Basic administrations duties including answering the phone and fielding calls
  • Scanning any post and making sure it is attached to case files and sent to the right fee earner
  • Bringing character and personality to a small team
  • Listening and following instruction from management
  • Keeping training records up to date
  • Being an active team player and belief in working together to achieve better results
  • Checking stationary stock levels and re-ordering when required
  • Opening files on digital case management system
  • Understanding the minimum requirements that are set by the Legal Aid Agency and implementing them
  • Considering prosecution evidence
  • Providing analysis of prosecution evidence
  • Attending conferences with barristers and clients
  • Arranging experts to undertake assessments
  • Attend court to represent the firm at hearings with clients and barristers
  • Attend social events as a representative of the firm
  • Attend seminars hosted by legal professionals as a representative of the firm

Qualifications Required:

  • 5 GCSEs A*-C (4-9) including Maths and English or equivalent qualifications
  • Minimum of 96 UCAS points (C,C,C) from top 3 A Levels
