My client is fast growing VMware and Citrix Partner, and they are looking for a highly organised and efficient candidate to join them as a Junior Project Management Apprentice. As Junior Project Management Apprentice, excellent communication skills will be required, as you will run small to medium projects on your own, with guidance and support from the Project Manager(s) as required for larger projects. On occasions, you will be required to assist the Project Managers to plan, execute, and close larger projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
Starting with a 15-18 month Junior Project Management Apprenticeship, consisting of training in small groups and work-based assessments, covering Agile Foundation, Principles of Project Management, Planning, Risk and Quality Management.
Main role / Responsibilities [will include but not be limited to]:
Project Control and Management of small to medium sized business projects, including project budget management
The Junior Project Manager will communicate clearly and concisely with diverse audiences, in both oral and written contexts, (so you must be comfortable giving and receiving feedback)
Documentation: you will be expected to compile, create and deliver quality customer facing documentation based on the Cetus current project process and procedures
Driving through any obstacles that may affect the services we offer and to escalate any matters to senior management that you are unable to resolve
Administration: Processing Travel, Job Packs and Excellent Diary Management
Desired qualities, skills and knowledge:
- Proficient in MS Word - Formatting of documents, tracking of changes, layouts, inserting tables and general features
- Proficient in MS Excel - Updating and creation of formulated tables, pivot table experience would be good but not essential and general excel featuresAccuracy and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for a range of audiences
- Ability to multitask and switch focus quickly
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work under strict deadlines
- An ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- A strong desire to be successful and a can-do attitude
Desired qualification requirements:
Any A Level or a Level 3 in a similar subject Or holds an existing project management qualification
Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm, (1 hour unpaid for lunch to be taken between 12pm and 2pm)
37.5hours per week [all details will be confirmed with the employer]
Salary: £17,500 per annum
While completing the apprenticeship, the apprentice will work to gain the following qualification:
Associate Project Manager Level 4 through APM, IPMA Level D through APM and Prince2 Agile Foundation through Axelos
