This 22 week programme delivered two days per week is intended for students who wish to gain an entry level position in a digital role. The course is ideal for anyone who wishes to combine a part-time job with a national recognised qualification. The diploma offers a unique programme providing you with the opportunity to gain or build on previous experience to establish your future career aspirations.
This brand new and exclusive course has been designed in partnership with Accenture and the FRA, in conjunction with leading digital agencies and retailers. The course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to secure employment in the growing digital retail sector.
With the increasing use of digital technology, the retail environment continues to evolve. Changes in consumer behaviour are ongoing and the course will ensure that you are aware of the current technology trends and developments to prepare you to join the digital workforce.
Your course includes a project set by a fashion brand, enabling you to gain exposure to industry execs and increase your network at the same time as working on a real time project.
The course combines theoretical learning with practical experience and includes a three week work placement with a high street fashion brand to cement your knowledge and give you an insight into the live challenges currently facing the industry.
Delivered in our brand new Digital Hub the course will ensure that you develop digital skills and expertise to enable you to explore all aspects of digital business functions, understanding the language and environment.
You will learn the principles of retail technology and the importance of data analysis to drive strategy, the role of different marketing channels including website, mobile, social and search engine optimisation. You will develop a solid foundation in I.T and the associated language, alongside practical creative skills such as web design, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Content is integral to any digital marketing strategy and you will be introduced to software and systems used to generate content and then taught how to upload it online.
You will be invited to attend a range of masterclasses from a variety of Senior Fashion Retail Executives. Previous speakers have included Carolyn Springett from Jaeger, Belinda Earl from Marks and Spencer, David Walker-Smith of Fenwicks and Hilary Riva, formerly of the British Fashion Council. During these sessions held in our state of the art lecture theatre, fashion retail experts advise and inform about a range of subjects affecting the industry with an interactive Q&A session at the end to enable students to have their say.

Entry Criteria: 1 A-Level or the equivalent grade C or above and 5 GCSE’s grade 4/5-9 including Maths and English or 5 GCSE's A*-C grade including Maths and English, or a BTEC National Diploma or NVQ level 3, or a one year one year foundation diploma in Art and Design plus 5 GCSE’s grade 4/5-9 including Maths and English or 5 GCSE's A*-C grade including Maths and English. Please provide us with a NARIC Statement of Comparability, if you have any non-UK qualifications. We will not be able to process your application without this information.
